The color was more of an orangey red, than cherry red. Also, this item was longer than the one I purchased previously over 10 years ago. My ten year old Nils Robin Base Layer Top is very warm.

Warm and looks good, the only base layers I wear are by Nils. They look fantastic on everyone and can be worn on the town apres skiing.
