Unlocked: the Anomoly is an approachable ripper of a ski!
Posted by Diamond Dave (Certified Winter Enthusiast) on 8/5/2025

Pros: Fast, excellent medium radius turns, energetic short turns, not punishing. Versatile.
Cons: Straddles the world of carving and all mountain. Some might be happier going up to the 88 or down to the Thunderbird.

I chose the Anomoly as it promised the idea of being less "locked-in" than the preceding Brahma series with little compromise. I wanted a narrower, front-side ski that could act like a carving ski, but still ski the bumps and get through the softer, afternoon snow. The first thing I noticed with the Anom 84 was the various turn shapes it seemed to be on board with making. It also has a good amout of energy out of the turns which makes the ski livlier than its predecesor. It can live on high edge angles, but can be easily slid sideways in situations that come up, or getting into a narrow, icy trail. They are good in bumps, and on the edge of the trail. Ski true to length as well.

What I really love about them is the ability to hold impressive edge angles at speed. They DO give up slightly on the very top end to the Brahma but the trade off is absolutely worth it as they are fantastic everywhere else! For an early morning skier who doesn't want a dedicated carving ski-consider these!
