Wrist Guards are a great idea for new snowboarders. They help to prevent injury by stabilizing the wrist.

For any new rider, I always stress the importance of landing properly if/when you fall because it's bound to happen. I've always had weak wrists from years of sports-when I learned to ride these saved many broken wrists. Highly recommend!!
