For the East Coast the snow goes from Hero to ice below zero. Landing on a sensitive bony body part can give you lots of things to talk about but it will end your day. This is great from your first lesson that your friend said they would give you to hucking 14's over the hard pack at Blue.

No matter how good a rider is at some point gravity and movement deals a losing hand in the riding game.
Whether its general slope riding, park style or even backcountry adventures, having a pair of the Impact Shorts has been smart addition to my gear quiver. Countless times over the years I have hip checked and sideswiped park features, trees and rocks inbounds and out of bounds in the mountains. Having my Impacts on when I have fallen took from what would normally be a toboggan trip down to Ski Patrol First Aid and plenty of ice to just simply brushing off the snow, laughing and riding away again.
D3O® Impact Protection Tech combined with DRYRIDE Ultrawick™ Lightweight 100 fabric makes for a comfortable pair of shorts to slide on and ride with throughout the day. Simple, built tough and fits under any normal outerwear pants, the Burton Total Impact Shorts is a worthwhile addition to any riders (or skiers!) gear list.

Beginner or Expert this safety first. These shorts are light in weight and great for those sudden falls on hard pack snow.
