I have used this iron for a couple of years. It is accurate as to temperature, and provides even heat across the entire plate. It's reliable and easy to use.
Nice iron at a reasonable price.

I've been tuning by hand since the seventies. There is no better tune than an expertly done manual tune. Waxing is key part of tuning and requires an iron. I have used old clothing irons, and while they work, they can also get gummed up with wax and get way too hot for some waxes. This is a ski wax specific tool that works very well.

Great Iron

Swix Iron has easy to dial temperature to match the wax temp. So much better than Grandmothers Iron to use as it is easy to dial in the proper temp for each wax. Biggest benefit is that waxed skis turn easier.
