Description

While many bindings have become increasingly complex—adding unnecessary features and weight—performance often takes a backseat. The Specter takes the opposite approach. Every detail has been refined with one goal in mind: delivering the lightest, highest-performance freestyle binding we've ever built.

Built on Ride's proven A-Series Aluminum Chassis, the Specter combines lightweight durability with the natural flex characteristics of aluminum. Backed by Ride's lifetime warranty, the chassis allows the binding to move naturally with your board, creating a smooth, responsive ride with the freestyle feel riders demand.

The newly designed flat nylon highback features a freestyle-specific flex and optimized forward lean. By eliminating the traditional forward lean block, we've reduced unnecessary weight and simplified the design—because many riders remove it anyway.

Comfort is equally uncompromised. The Two-Piece Ankle Strap combines a medium-flex urethane frame with a softer cushioning material, providing excellent pressure distribution and all-day comfort. The Minimalist Toe Strap 2.0 fits securely over the front or top of your boot while maintaining an exceptionally lightweight profile.

The Specter represents 30 years of freestyle snowboarding experience distilled into its purest form—a binding engineered to disappear beneath your feet so you can focus entirely on your riding.

Snowboard Terrain
All Mountain

All Mountain
Explores all obstacles across the mountain, enjoying anything coming across them on the hill.

Flex
Soft / Medium

Soft / Medium
A softer flex is more forgiving and playful, allowing the rider to make small adjustments with lower consequences.

Binding Style
Strap

Strap
Strap bindings are the most common type of snowboard bindings, and they can be easily identified by the flexible straps (or sometimes a single strap) that connect across the top of the snowboard boot to hold it in place. A ratcheting buckle tightens the straps across the top of the ankle and toe of the boot. Because each strap is adjustable and can be tightened individually, strap snowboard bindings offer a high degree of adjustability.

Binding Mount Pattern
Channel, 2x4, 4x4

Channel, 2x4, 4x4
Compatible with the Channel, 2x4, and 4x4 mounting systems.

Cant
Yes

Yes
Canting means the footbed is built with the outside of the feet slightly more raised than the inside, like a wedge. This helps align your joints and can provide better comfort, and even better tip to tail response in some cases.

Ability Level
Beginner / Intermediate

Beginner / Intermediate
A beginner to intermediate skier or rider is one who can confidently handle easy slopes, link turns, and control speed, but is still developing skills on steeper or varied terrain. Stays of trails marked as beginner as well as some intermediate trails.
