A new offering with a cold-blooded appetite for all-terrain destruction.
New for the 2627 season, the Rome Men’s Viper snowboard is coiled and ready to strike.
With a new shape featuring a Directional Diamond 3D nose to float through it all and the stability of a Directional Double Kick tail, the Men’s Viper is a tenacious all-mountain menace.
Built for riders who want a one board solution for park laps or deep days, the Men’s Viper is a beast of a board loaded with modern tech for all-mountain mastery.
Camber Profile
Fusion Camber:
The gold standard for responsive versatility, Fusion Camber is a modern twist on OG positive camber.
Small sections of rocker sit at the contact points along the traditional camber line, effectively helping roll out pressure or impact through the board’s nose and tail.
The benefit of this design is a slightly more forgiving ride without sacrificing power.
Fusion Camber is well-suited for Directional Twin and True Twin shapes as it’s great for riding switch in the park or blasting through groomers.
Construction
Bamboo Omega HotRods:
A thin sleeve of carbon, nestled around a bamboo HotRod, this configuration helps inject a nimble responsiveness without compromising a board’s butter-ability.
Bamboo Omega HotRods are used in boards with a forgiving flex for freestyle-oriented riding.
Twin Single HotRods:
A single HotRod is milled into the board’s core, symmetrically positioned from the insert packs out into the nose and tail areas.
This is the most widely used configuration, primarily used in True Twin and Directional Twin shapes as it creates a predictable boost of power and response that makes any shape ride better.
Shaping
Directional Diamond 3D:
A freeride favorite designed for edge catch free riding, effortless float in deeper snow and powering through variable conditions, Directional Diamond 3D is a unique take on 3D board shaping.
The secret sauce is a wider, flat running section in the middle of the board, with a gradual three-dimensional curvature.
This creates a stable, reliable ride that rips on powder days and charges chunder between groomers.
Directional Double Kick:
Two distinct sections of rise, or kick, built into a board’s tail to add torsional stability and response without making for a stiffer hand feel, this shaping technology is used on all-terrain boards for an added boost of power in the tail.
Base
SinterStrong:
A low-maintenance, ride-it-all, don’t worry about a thing, sintered base.
Designed for daily drivers and weekend warriors alike.
Sidecut
Tri-Radial Directional:
Tri-Radial Sidecuts use three distinct radii that blend together, creating a continuous curvature that complements and bolsters the riding capabilities of specific board styles.
For tapered boards, where the shapes often need a boost of response, Tri-Radial Directional Sidecuts add a boost of stability to power through the end of turns.
Core
Stomp Core:
Built to create a stable and smooth feel with a simple construction for progression-oriented boards.
Stomp Cores are built with 100% Poplar construction.
Laminate
Triax Glass:
Fiberglass runs in three different axes, designed for adding torsionally rigidity and next level snap for ollie power.
This layout is used to supercharge board for aggressive riding.
