Patagonia Boys' Snowshot Jacket

The weather-shielding Boys’ Snowshot Jacket is our premium ski/boarding jacket for boys built with an H2No® Performance Standard 2-layer polyester shell that has a waterproof/breathable barrier for storm protection, plus a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and fully taped seams to keep him dry. The 150-g Thermogreen® polyester (92% recycled) insulation stays warm even when wet, while lightweight polyester plain weave lines the body and sleeves to provide a smooth glide over layers. For an extra season of wear, the articulated sleeves have our grow-fit feature, which increases length by 2 inches. This jacket is fully featured with a removable (via snaps) three-panel hood and an internal elasticized gusset for a stay-put fit. The waterproof, center-front zipper with full-length internal wind flap has a zipper garage to prevent chin chafe. Chest pocket with covered zipper has a pass-through for media cord. Pass pocket on sleeve has waterproof zipper; handwarmer pockets have covered zipper closure. The tapered sleeve cuffs provide extra coverage and adjust with hook-and-loop closure. Internal microfleece cuffs have thumb holes. The jacket has a slight drop-tail hem for extra coverage. Hand-me-down ID label. Fair Trade Certified™ sewn.

Great "Go To"

Pros: Fit, warmth, not too bulky, water proof
Cons: only problem we've ever had is the hood snaps tearing away from the coat after HEAVY use.

Our "go to" winter jacket for our kids. This is the 4th one we've owned over the last 6 years, between 2 kids. Functions great as a standard winter coat in Chicago, as well as a ski coat out west. Keeps water out and plenty warm.
