I used to use various brands of poly quick drying base layers. It always worked well but the odor could be overwhelming. The Smartwool stuff doesn't stink or itch and is very comfortable. You can wear it for multiple days before it needs washing. This reduces wear on the piece and hassle for me.

This is great base layer...Feel like 2nd skin and keeps you warm on those ski lifts!

Great base layer. Wear it right next to my skin, soft, warm, very comfortable, not tight.
