If you use a roof top rack, you expose your skis and bindings to very adverse conditions of dirt and other elements which can adversely affect the release of your bindings. These covers prevent contamination of your bindings. They are a must.

Keeps the bindings relatively dry and free of road salt
Cons:
The zippers fail with regularity...keep backups on hand

If you care about your bindings these are a must. I've been using binding covers for more than 40 years.

I recommend this product to anyone with a roof rack system on their car. It does a terrific job keeping the crud and salt from the road off of your ski bindings during transit to and from the mountain.
