The famous Obermeyer line of ski wear had its humble beginnings in a small Bavarian alpine village in the early 1920’s. There, a very young Klaus Obermeyer first developed a love of the mountains — and ways to quickly descend those slopes. His love of skiing wound up bringing him to America in 1947, where he chose Aspen, Colorado as his ideal home.
