Men's Elan Ripstick 88

Knowing the conditions you'll encounter on your next ski adventure in the mountains is rarely predictable. For days like these, Ripstick 88 is the ski to trust.

Features

Picture a ski with unbelievable edge-to-edge quickness and rebound that can also handle any surface condition with a calm and cool demeanor. The ski you just envisioned is the Ripstick 88 and its versatility is fed by Elan's innovative Amphibio Profile, supported by Carbon Deck Technology featuring carbon rods and unidirectional carbon bands located along the edges for the most responsive and smoothest ride in our narrowest freeride footprint. Ripstick 88 is slim enough to slice and dice early morning corduroy and wide enough to negotiate new snow with quickness, rebound, and easily attainable power thanks to its lightweight 3D design reinforced by natural Flax fiber. If you're not sure what your next ski day is going to dish out, trust a ski that's guaranteed to deliver the goods.

A Unique and Fun Option in the 88 underfoot for all but the hardest chargers!
Posted by Diamond Dave (Certified Winter Enthusiast) on 8/11/2025

Pros: Energetic, fun, light, great edge hold, super versatile, quick edge to edge, accessible performance.
Cons: Lacks stabilty at top speeds compared to others in the category but isn't trying to be a race ski. Left and right specific ski.

Would you recommend this product to a friend? Yes

The Ripstick has carved a unique niche for iteself in the 88mm All-Mountain category as it blends excellent edgehold, fast edge transitions and energetic short turns in a relatively capable and approachable package. I like the easy to turn nature of this ski that's packed with a ton of versatily. These skis are left and right skis as they have asymmetry built in to enhance the dynamics of the ski for 2 edge carving (Amphibio tech). While this wouldn't be my personal ski, I feel it is a great ski for skiers that love to ski all day but aren't looking for a GS ski with an all mountain build (ala Mantra 88). Excellent choice for advancing Intermediates and advanced skiers. It's hard to go wrong with the Ripstick!
