Yes
I bought these skis for my wife for Christmas. She had been skiing on an old pair of overly flexible skis for about 7 years. Whenever she hit something the skis would bend and she had to work hard to ski in the controlled manner she likes. The Burnin Luvs are a lot stiffer. They cut through any crud and dig in on steep slopes and ice. This year she she was able to stay in control but she has been skiing faster and with less effort.
