Wick's Skip Shop in Chester County to become new Buckman’s Ski Shop

POTTSTOWN, PA – Jeff, Nancy and Brad Buckman are excited to announce that Buckman’s will open their seventh ski shop in the Fall of 2017. Before today this location was occupied by Wick’s Ski and Sport Shop, located at 403 Pottstown Pike in Exton, PA.

Mark and Nancy Beard, owners of Wick’s, have decided to retire to pursue their love of the outdoors. This decision led them to sell their business and building to the Buckman family. Founded in 1946, Wick’s Ski Shop was one of Chester County’s oldest retail establishments.

“We are excited to open our seventh location,” says Brad Buckman, Vice President of Buckman’s Ski and Snowboard Shops. “Wick’s is known for their love of skiing and great customer service. We are looking forward to continuing this tradition by bringing our industry knowledge and award winning customer service to the Exton, Pa area. We wish Mark and Nancy nothing but the best as they venture into the next chapters of their life and hopefully get to spend more time on the slopes next winter!”

Family-owned and operated, Buckman’s has been in business since 1972 and is eastern Pennsylvania’s leading winter sports retailer. This new location will allow the Buckman’s team to better serve the winter enthusiasts who live in Chester County, Pa. Buckman’s Ski and Snowboard Shops sell skis, snowboards, winter apparel and accessories for men, women and kids of all ages. Currently, there is a Buckman’s Ski and Snowboard Shop location in King of Prussia, Doylestown, Ardmore, Montgomeryville, Reading and Whitehall, PA. Buckman’s also has an online ski shop at www.buckmans.com that services skiers and snowboarders across the nation.
